Totally cool…I was playing a little Left4Dead with CNN on in the background when I heard the news about those flashes on Mars. How cool it that? They’re said it doesn’t look like volcanic activity but one guy (couldn’t get his name…something like Pearson) who was astro-geologist (yeah, were exactly do you apply for that job?) said it looked like massive ejections of methane gas from under the surface of the planet.
Yeah, Mars is farting. Whatever you do, don’t light a match.
And of course, in a cosmic proof of Murphy’s Law, they reported that just a few hours before those flashes were seen, all the sensors on the Phoenix probe went dead. Well, the wikipedia article said it was supposed to run until October but really, not one day past?
