Bogus terrorism story of the day

In Dover, New Jersey today it was reported that three vigilant aldermen have decided to do their part in defeating terrorism.  It appears they’ve identified a major threat that terrorists could exploit any day now….

Gumball machines.

Go ahead…read that again if you’d like.  I’ll wait.

Yep.   According to one of these guys gumball machines should be  “looked at seriously in light of what has happened so far”.  Really?  What’s happened so far?  Oh yeah, the gumball massacre of ‘03.  I forgot about that.

I’m trying to figure out what the angle is here.  Does one of these guys have a gumball concession business and they’re trying to corner the market?  Is there some Homeland Security grant money out there?   After all, NJ has a reputation for corrupt politicians but who knows, maybe these guys are just morons.
