Quite possibly the coolest thing I’ve EVER read in my whole life.
For decades, paleontologists have puzzled over a fossil collection of nine Triassic icthyosaurs (Shonisaurus popularis) discovered in Nevada’s Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park….A new theory suggests that a 100-foot-long cephalopod arranged these bones as a self-portrait after drowning the reptiles.
That’s right…a giant squid went on a killing spree and then arranged its victims in some sort of bizarre art project. The world was MUCH more interesting millions of years ago. (And, yes, I know the scientific community is poo-pooing this hypothesis but I don’t care, I like it.)
While not quite at the same level of complete awesomeness, this site is one of the funniest I’ve seen in quite some time. The premise:
Celebrating pornographers who go the extra mile when set dressing classroom porn and actually write something on the blackboard. What do they write, and is it correct?
(Humour site – Intended to be safe for work)
While it is technically safe for work, I have no idea how you could explain this site without sounding like you’re crafting some sort of cockamamie story.
The next time someone tells you that life is the best proof for an omnipotent god, show him this and ask him to explain his shoddy craftsmanship.
Talking Philosophy uses the Occupy movement to talk about the responsibility of listeners and gives us a really good ‘gut check’ on making sure we give information we may not be inclined to agree with a fair shake.
