Let’s put those critical thinking skills to use

Mrs. TwShiloh found the following on eBay:

This item is for the following four coupons:

  • 1 Coupon good for $5 off ANY Jennie O Turkey Store Product
  • 3 Coupons for for $2 off ANY Jennie O Turkey Store Product

If you’re keeping track at home that equals a total of $11 worth of coupons.

So, why (and how) in the world could it have someone willing to bid $76 dollars on that item?

Is there any legitimate scenario in which someone would want to bid this much for an item of such limited value?  It’s not like you can use coupons for something else, right?  It’s unlikely there’s a store willing to pay seven times face value on these coupons.

So, I’m looking for potential explanations (legitimate or not, outrageous or mundane) for this curious situation.
